
Dole Food Company, Inc. Grows School Garden Program
Letâs MoveWESTLAKE VILLAGE, California â April 5, 2011âToday, Dole Food Company (NYSE:DOLE) joined the Environmental Media Association (EMA), actress and advocate Emmanuelle Chriqui and Carson High School students and officials to mark the dedication of a garden at the school facilities. Dole farmer Greg France, handed out strawberry seed packets and shared tips on sustainable farming while Chriqui spoke to students about nutrition.This dedication is part of Dole Food Companyâs larger effort to support gardens and greening in urban schools across Los Angelesâa city with one of the highest childhood obesity rates in the nation.
