DIY Gift Jars: Tropical-Cranberry Overnight Oats
Ingredients
For the Gift Jars- ¼ cup unsweetened coconut flakes
- ¼ cup chopped sweetened dried mango
- ¼ cup chopped unsweetened dried cranberries
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 4 small cellophane bags
- 4 (16-ounce) wide-mouth glass jars with lids
- 2 cups gluten free old-fashioned rolled oats
- 4 festive label stickers
- 4 index cards with hole punched in top left corner
- 4 festive ribbons
- 4 festive bows (optional)
Directions
- Gift Jars: Toast coconut in a small skillet over medium heat 3 minutes or until lightly browned and fragrant, stirring frequently; transfer to a small plate to cool, then divide into cellophane bags. Into glass jars, layer oats, mango, cranberries and chia seeds; seal jars with lids. Write “Tropical-Cranberry Overnight Oats” on label stickers and attach to jars.
- Recipe Card: Write the following directions on each index card to create the Recipe Card:
You will need:
1 ripe DOLE® Banana
½ cup gluten and dairy free refrigerated unsweetened coconut milk
Directions:
Mash banana in a medium bowl; stir in coconut milk. Stir banana mixture into jar; cover with lid and refrigerate overnight. Serve oats garnished with toasted coconut. - Attach one of the toasted coconut-filled cellophane bags and a Recipe Card to each jar with a festive ribbon; add a bow, if desired.
