How do you pick red raspberries?
Raspberries are picked when ripe. Choose plump raspberries that look firm and dry; avoid bruised or mushy fruit. Color can vary from light to dark red but should be consistent.
How do you prepare red raspberries?
Raspberries are both a delicious and fragile fruit, best eaten within 1 to 2 days of purchase. Because they absorb water, rinse them lightly and pat dry just before using them. Enjoy fresh in a salad or on your favorite cereal. They can also be cooked with a touch of lemon or orange juice and used as a delicious sauce for chicken or fish dishes.
How do you store red raspberries?
Keep fresh by storing in plastic container in refrigerated until ready to use. (Note: our vented containers are the best way to store berries as they allow just the right amount of airflow to not dehydrate and keep the berries undisturbed until use.) Remove any damaged or overly soft berries. It is best to wash berries just before use by rinsing gently under running water and either allow to air dry or use a paper towel to remove excess water.
