Dole Food Company is on a mission to make the world a healthier place. Providing healthy products and sharing nutrition education is the primary method, but certainly not the only one. To recognize this Pineapple Day holiday, the company is encouraging those who can, to donate blood or support health care workers in their local communities.
Representatives from the company will be present in Dole business communities around the country, passing out free its iconic DOLE Pineapples to those that give life-saving blood at the participating events they are calling "Pine for a Pint".
