Health, education and entrepreneurship are core areas for Dole's community development. Dole’s DALE Foundation does important work in the social field. Investments of over $36 million since 2005 have funded numerous educational, medical, and community development programs. We will finance multiple projects with a percentage taken from each banana and pineapple box sold with a total of $50 million USD being invested into these projects over the next five years. The work of the DALE Foundation will also be expanded to the entire Latin American region.
