Ingredients

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ cup barbeque sauce
  • 4 teaspoons chipotle powder
  • 4 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 pkg. (11.1 oz.) DOLE® Slawesome!™ Fiesta Lime Kit
  • 4 100% whole wheat hamburger buns
  • 1 DOLE® Avocado, peeled, pitted and sliced

Directions

  1. Whisk together garlic, barbeque sauce, chipotle powder, cumin and ½ cup water, in medium bowl. Add chicken and barbeque sauce mixture to slow cooker. Cover; cook on HIGH 4 hours (or on LOW 8 hours) or until chicken is very tender. Transfer chicken to bowl; shred with 2 forks. Add liquid from slow cooker to chicken; toss. Makes about 3 cups.
  2. Prepare Slawesome! kit as package directs. Makes about 3 cups.
  3. Serve chicken mixture in buns topped with avocado and slaw.
