How To Store

Clean lettuce before storing. Cut bottom core off and thoroughly wash leaves under cold water. Do not allow the leaves to soak in water, it will cause them to lose crispness. Gently pat dry leaves with paper towels or a clean kitchen towel. A salad spinner can also be used to dry leaves. Store lettuce in plastic bag or airtight container in refrigerator for up to 10 days.

How To Select

Select large heads of lettuce that appear fresh and have a consistent green color. Avoid lettuce which has a wilted appearance.
