Chocolate and banana flavored bread pudding.

Ingredients 12


extra-ripe, medium DOLE Bananas, peeled
1-1/4 cups milk
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons margarine, melted
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 cups dried white bread cubes
firm DOLE Bananas, peeled, sliced
1/2 cup sliced almonds
  frozen dessert topping, thawed




Preheat oven to 350F. Spray an 8 or 9-inch baking pan with cooking spray.


3 extra-ripe, medium DOLE Bananas, peeled
1-1/4 cups milk
3 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp. margarine, melted
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla extract


Puree 3 extra-ripe bananas in blender (1-1/2 cups). Combine pureed bananas, milk and cocoa. Beat together eggs, sugar, margarine, cocoa powder, cinnamon and vanilla in large bowl.


6 cups dried white bread cubes
2 firm DOLE Bananas


Layer 1/2 bread cubes in prepared baking pan; top with sliced bananas and remaining cubes. Pour milk mixture over cubes, making sure all bread is completely covered. Let stand 30 minutes.


1/2 cup DOLE Sliced Almonds
frozen dessert topping, thawed


Sprinkle with almonds. Place square pan in a larger pan. Pour boiling water into pan to come half way up side of square pan. Bake 55 to 60 minutes. Serve warm with mound of dessert topping.
