Dolele

Ingredients

  • 1 package (12 oz.) pork sausage
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1-1/2 cups finely chopped DOLE® Celery
  • 1 cup chopped DOLE Onion
  • 8 cups fresh white bread, torn into small pieces
  • 1-1/2 cups finely chopped fresh DOLE Tropical Gold® Pineapple
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1-1/4 cups chopped pecans, toasted
  • 1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon ground sage

Directions

  1. Crumble sausage into large skillet; cook over medium high heat until pork is completely browned. Drain sausage. Set aside.
  2. Melt margarine in another skillet. Stir in celery and onion, cook about 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

  3. Stir together bread, sausage, celery, onion, pineapple, cranberries, pecans, parsley, oregano and sage in large bowl. Pour into lightly greased 3-quart casserole dish. Cover.

  4. Bake at 350°F., 30 to 35 minutes or until heated through. Garnish with fresh sage, if desired. Serve with roasted turkey and peeled mini carrots.
