Yet more evidence that those who walk 10,000 steps a day are leaner and healthier than those who drag their feet. A study done at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville monitored the daily steps of a group of 80 women ages 40-60. Those who averaged 10,000 steps per day had 40% less body fat than their less-mobile peers. So strap on a pedometer and start stepping out.
